BACKGROUND
THE CHALLENGE
Intel corporation is always innovating and pushing technology forward, this is mainly comes to term in the form of a new chip and chip-set. Those chips get a brand name that ends with 'Lake' followed by the core number. Each new chip is a leap forward in technology and gets promoted and marketing events both internally and externally. This promotion usually consist of the chip 3d render imaging or a pack shoot and 'dry' information.
Updating the look and feel of chip promotions while keeping the intel look and feel and still fit to a broad target audience.
My Creative solution was to take the brand name of the chips and display it literally in a visual design. Ice-Lake will be represented with a 'frosty' look of ice cubes and glaciers, Tiger-Lake will use tiger in powerful position and Rocket-Lake will be promoted with a rocket.
The Design
After establishing the concept, the upcoming launch was the Rocket-Lack chip.
To best match the technology feel and to have a 'soft-landing' from the old design, I chose to make the design in 3D. I modeld and animated the rocket first in Blender, and then working with intel seals team I add the best information and promotion titles to the 3d animation in post.
